Green Tea for weight loss?
100% Hardcore Truth

Green tea is great, it definitely has a lot of virtues; it’s been linked to lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, it has anti-oxidant properties that have been linked to playing a role in minimizing cancer risk. There’s lots of good things to say about green tea but for weight loss, I don’t think so. Well, perhaps it could help but it’s not a permanent weight loss solution. I think supplement companies went a little crazy and marketed green tea as some cure all drug adding weight loss to the list of things it could do. Green Tea, contains polyphenols which are an antioxidant phytochemical that tends to prevent or neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals. In particular the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is what you will most commonly see when you research this supplement. Green tea also has caffeine and can produce a slight thermogenic affect which can increase caloric burn. A definite over marketed aspect of the supplement. Green tea is definitely beneficial as a supplement with tremendous health virtues but don’t get your hopes up for weight loss if anything it can play a small role in addition to eat right and exercise.
