So what exactly will I be doing?

Conditioning Phase

In the conditioning phase we seek to wake the body up and prepare it for what’s to come ahead! With a series of beginner type foundational exercises we’re going to strengthen bones, ligaments, tendons, tissues, cardiovascular and circulatory systems. We’re initiating the muscle building process and igniting your metabolic fire. In this phase we perform three sets and twelve to fifteen repetitions of the desired exercise cardio is then placed at the end for maximum fat loss benefit. Notice increase in repetitions is great for muscular endurance. This is needed for where we are going. In other words we’ll see some strength and muscle development but our focus is not to bulk up in the beginning-just condition the muscles and the many supporting structures.......more in the program

Muscle and tone phase

In the muscle and tone phase we focus on...guess what, muscle and tone! Tone which really means the same thing as muscle but I just threw that one in for the girls. They freak out when they hear muscle thinking they’re going to look like a dude. So, for the ladies unless your pumping testosterone and multiple steroids you cannot develop muscles of gargantuan proportion. Now we got that out of the way! What we are trying to do in this phase is develop as much muscle as possible all over the body. The exercises here will focus on generating the most bang for your buck. This will give our body multiple muscle sites for the fat liberation stage. This in combination with other metabolic enhancing strategies will increase our metabolism. Research has proven that having more muscle mass will eventuate in an increased metabolism. Why is metabolism important? It’s very important for maintaining permanent results. A simplistic definition is the speed at which our bodies burn through food and muscle is metabolically active tissue so it’s advantageous to have as much of this tissue as possible. To go a little deeper in metabolic land. Our bodies are always building up anabolism or tearing down catabolism. Our trillions of cells are constantly being destroyed or completing their cycle and being replaced. A healthy balance leaning slightly towards  the anabolic side is the key to longevity and a healthy metabolism. Spending more time in anabolic world is easy to do. Any time you do resistance training you trigger that anabolic state. This is the period following after your workout when your body is rebuilding muscle tissue in anticipation for another intense workout.
